Outside of the hustle and bustle of New York City, Peter McDermott and his band, looked to escape the crowded bars and streets to record in a live setting that was controlled and familiar.

Audio Pilot Studio, in New Jersey, has been the home away from home for Peter McDermott for the past two years. The studio was the epicenter for his first release, "One Big Picture Show". So when the band wanted to capture their unique live sound, they turned to Audio Pilot's Rob Freeman.

In the stripped back live room at Audio Pilot, the band performed four songs for an in-studio session. McDermott and his band blew through One Big Picture Show favorites “Life of the Party” and “Drinking Song”. They also debuted a new song, “Tell Me”, which mixes Peter's vivid lyrics with the lush and bouncy sound created by the band.

The group finished off the session with their version of the 80's classic, "I Melt With You". The cover is a fresh take on the the Modern English hit. It's the perfect song to show off the distinct blend of acoustic and alternative music that McDermott and his band have become known for.

“Live at Audio Pilot Studio” EP is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
